Lead Stag - UHLS
*Leader and Protector of the Herd. May be challenged in times of peace for his Rank or the rights to a Doe or Does. Usually will pick a few Does to be his favorites.
Permitted Stags - UHPS
*Stags that were not forced to leave once they reached adulthood. They submit to the Lead Stag's authority and if the Lead Stag has not been beaten by the time he is old and no longer able to protect the Herd, he will pick a Permitted Stag to be his heir.
Leader's Does - UHLD
*Does that the Lead Stag has shown adoration for. Permitted Stags are usually warned away from these Does. A Leader's Doe may reject the Lead Stag at any time, and will become a Standard Doe if that happens.
Standard Does - UHSD
*Does that are not pregnant or caring for Fawns. Permitted Stags are welcome to spend time with them if the Doe enjoys their company. The Does can reject a Stag at any time.
Fawning Does - UHFD
*Does that are pregnant or caring for Fawns under a year old.
Yearlings - UHY
*Any deer at least a year old but not yet an adult. They are encouraged to help watch over the Fawns and learn from the older deer.
Fawns - UHF
*Fawns are any deer younger than one year. They stay near the older deer (usually their mother but not always) to stay safe. In the event of predators, they are the first to be lead away.
Rogue Stags - RS
*Not officially part of the herd, but follow it from a small distance. These are Stags that were either cast from the herd or were never a part of it. If the Lead Stag is present, they will be kept away from all Does unless they challenge for rank or the right to Does. Many Rogues try to sneak a Doe away while the Lead Stag is distracted or not present.
